Welcome to Rushcliffe Spencer Academy. We’re Mia and James and we are the Student Presidents for the 2022-23 school year!
Our roles require us, as ambassadors, to: represent the school at open days and achievement evenings; help lead the school council; and liaise with the Senior Leadership Team and be representatives for key school events. We also work closely with the charity, social and transition committees in order to support students, staff and the wider community.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our time whilst studying at Rushcliffe and we are so happy that we can continue contributing to the positive ethos as well as being given the chance to make a difference for future Rushcliffe and Sixth Form students. We both love the fact that, whilst education is at the forefront of priorities, both teachers and other staff are mindful to really help shape pupils to become mature young adults.
We also really like that there are ample opportunities that all students are encouraged to take advantage of. These include: Duke of Edinburgh, Arts award, STEM club, a variety of sporting activities, music and performing arts groups, gardening club and even LEGO club! We are also very grateful for the number of trips the school offers within year groups, subjects and even the whole school! From Walesby to PGL and Alton Towers to Iceland – these moments have been so special; we were able to make great friends through these events as well as memories that will last forever.
Rushcliffe is a big school but it’s a friendly community and we are really proud to be part of it!
