Rushcliffe Spencer Academy has successfully been re-accredited as a World Class School. The award was confirmed at a virtual awards ceremony earlier this month.
We have been working with the local charity: Education For The Children for a number of years and would usually raise money from our summer Esperanza festival. Sadly, we are unable to hold that event this year but we hope that we can still raise a substantial sum for this good cause.
We are launching The Rushcliffe Lottery to raise funds for the school. The First draw will be Saturday 10th July, and tickets are now available!
As a part of our community first enrichment option, we have partnered with the friary to help them with their current appeal for men’s trainers, sizes 8-11 and women’s trainers, size 5-8. The friary Support local homeless and vulnerable adults who don’t tend to have a change of footwear. Office and formal shoes will not be accepted as they are not appropriate for this collection, however any other trainer style show would be very much appreciated.
The latest LRC year challenge is to design or cut out some shoes for your favourite book character! Draw the character in their new shoes and explain why they would choose them.
There will be achievement points for everyone who enters, with prizes awarded for the best entries. Details on how to enter have been posted on satchel:one. Closing date 14th June.
Adult Carers, Young Carers and families are all welcome to join in activities, hosted by TuVida this December. There are virtual festive activities, training, games with prizes and much more!
