Following the success of last year, Sewa Day Nottingham reached out to ask if Rushcliffe Sixth Form students and staff would like to support the Christmas Shoebox Appeal 2022, and of course the answer was a resounding Yes!
Sewa Day Nottingham & Communities Working Together (CWT) distribute shoeboxes full of gifts for members of our community in the Nottingham area who might not have much this Christmas.
Each form group in Y12 and Y13 filled a shoe box full of donated items and then wrapped them in Christmas paper. The result was a whole lead trolley full of donations being handed over to Hilary from Sewa Day Nottingham by members of our Student Executive Committee on Friday 2nd December. Student President Mia Crooks said “It was nice to come together in form groups to produce these boxes and help people in our community who may not be as fortunate as we are at this time of year”. We would like to thank all the Sixth Form staff and students for their efforts and would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
