Rushcliffe netball team crowned East Midlands Champions!

We are delighted to share that the Rushcliffe Spencer Academy netball team have been crowned U19 Regional Champions at the England Netball National Schools competition. The eight strong squad visited Oundle in Peterborough for the East Midlands Finals where they battled against the best teams from the county. The field was incredibly strong and competition great but the girls put on a fantastic performance.

Careers and Wellbeing event

A reminder that we have a Careers and Wellbeing event running on Wednesday 11th January.  Years 12 and 13 have the opportunity to visit the fair during their lunch break (or their study period for Sixth Form pupils) and all students can also attend from the end of the school day.

Rushcliffe expansion approved

The works required to expand Rushcliffe Spencer Academy have been given the green light by Nottinghamshire County Council. The multi-million pound development, which was given planning approval by Rushcliffe Borough Council last year, will see an additional 560 secondary school places created and provide the school, and local community, with a new improved sports facility.

 Community Recycle Scheme

This new scheme donates a collection of second-hand, overstocked and end-of-line equipment to schools in the UK. A wide range of items has already been given away, including shade sails, post pad protectors and colourful fence pales.

Looking for something creative to do over the Christmas break? Why not enter the LRC Christmas Challenge and create a miniature book decoration.

There will even be a prize up for grabs!

Rushcliffe students flags go to Antarctica!

Students from the Rushcliffe Geography club entered a competition to design flags for Antarctica. Their flags have now been taken all the way to Antarctica and had photos taken with real scientists from the British Antarctic Survey- how exciting!
