In-Year Applications
Rushcliffe Spencer Academy is heavily oversubscribed in all year groups and holds a substantial waiting list of students wishing to join the school. You are very welcome to apply for a place at the school but we would recommend that you contact the admissions team at the school to discuss your application and the application process.
The application form for an in-year application can be found here. Please complete and return via email to admissions@rushcliffe.notts.sch.uk, or post to the Admissions Team at the school.
Please note that this application form is not for first admissions to Year 7 or admission to the Sixth Form.
Appeals
If you have been declined a place at Rushcliffe and wish to appeal this decision, please contact the school admissions team via telephone (0115 9744050) or email to request an appeals form.
Appeals are managed by an independent appeals clerk and heard by an independent panel.
The appeals timeline for all unsuccessful on time applications for year 7 places in September 2022 is as follows:
National Offer Day | Tuesday 1st March 2022 |
Deadline for return of forms if appealing | Tuesday 29th March 2022 |
Appeals planned to start May | May 2022 |
Appeals planned to finish | To be confirmed |
Temporary Covid-19 Arrangements
Please note that, in line with temporary changes to the appeals regulations, appeals hearings may be held via telephone conference call or with other adjustments. Further information will be provided as needed to appellants by the appeals clerk.
Waiting List
We do keep a waiting list and unsuccessful applicants will automatically be placed on this waiting list. The list is ordered according to the over subscription criteria set out in our admissions policy – not by date of application.
